AMMF receives a legacy

For the first time, AMMF has been privileged to receive a legacy from a will.

AMMF came into contact with Chris and Nicki Jackson in early July 2011 when Chris had just been diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma – they became AMMF supporters and remained in close touch throughout all Chris’s treatments.  Chris was a man with a love of life and for the people in his life and, with Nicki by his side, he retained his optimism throughout all – the surgery and chemotherapy, the problems and the set backs.  Sadly, though, Chris died in June, having just turned 56.

Undoubtedly Chris was a special person – the comments on the Justgiving pages dedicated to fundraising for AMMF in his name state he was a loving father and husband, a true and generous gentleman and friend, and that he was, “a man loved by so many people, because he dedicated his life to helping those around him.”

And Chris has carried that dedication to helping those around him to the very end, mentioning AMMF in his will and leaving £1,000 for the charity – which will be used towards research in the hope that others in the future will have a better chance than he did.

A wonderful gesture from a such generous and thoughtful man – we are so grateful.

RIP Chris.
